[OPIC] 오픽노잼 CHAPTER 03 설명/묘사

오픽노잼 시리즈의 책에서 CHAPTER 03 설명/묘사를 학습한 내용을 남겨본다.

 

오픽 질문 유형 4가지 중 첫 번째, 설명/묘사에 대해서 알아본다.

1. 설명/묘사
2. 습관
3. 과거 경험
4. 비교

 

3개의 콤보세트(2,3,4번 / 5,6,7번 / 8,9,10번)가 나오고, 이 3개의 콤보세트 중 첫 번째 질문에 해당하는 항목이 대부분 설명/묘사와 관련된 유형이다. 

 

7가지 규칙

 

규칙 1. Ava에게 질문하지 않기.

 

규칙 2. 사용하기 불편한 어려운 단어 쓰지 않기

I live in 4-strorey house -> My home is really small

 

규칙 3. 한 문장에서 같은 단어 반복하지 않기

This place very small place -> My place very small

 

규칙 4. 묘사하는 단어나 감정 단어 2개를 말할 때, and 사용하지 않기

this place very very comfortable and cozy -> My room is just so, you know comfy. I mean, it's just so cozy!

 

규칙 5. 한 가지 주제에 대해서만 말하기

장황하게 긴 것보다 한 가지 주제에 대해서 깔끔하게 말하는 게 더 좋다.

또, 마무리 지을 때 내용을 할 번 더 정리하거나, 주제를 강조하면서 마무리 짓는 게 좋다.

 

규칙 6. 긴장되고 할 말이 없을 때는 바로 결론으로 가기

 

 

규칙 7. '솔직한 변명'은 처음 부분에서 하지 않고 나중에 하기

 

깔끔한 메인 포인트

규칙 5 한 가지 주제에 대해서만 말하기를 잘 지켜야 하고 메인 포인트를 신경 쓰는 것이 그 방법이다.

you know, I gotta say, what I really hate about fashion here in Korea is that people tend to only wear safe colors. I guess you can say I find it quite boring. You see, for me, I try not to follow those trends. I try to be as colorful as possible. I guess you can say that I like to stand out.

 

가구 주제 질문 예시와 답변

Controllled singular 

동네 카페에 대해서 말해보세요 라는 질문에서, 나는 질문을 잘 이해했고, 여러 카페가 있는데 시간이 부족하니 하나만 설명하겠다는 인상을 준다. Controllled singular 전략이다.

Cafes around my area... oh my, where do I begin?

Uh, there're so many [tons of] cafes near my home.

..... but there's this one place that I like because this place is like my home. you know, there're so many cafes in Korea bu they are usually all franchises.

I love this place because it makes me feel so comfortable. you know this place makes me feel like I'm home.

I mean, its' just so relaxing whenever I'm there.

 

답변하다가 다음 할 말이 생각나지 않는다면

I guess, I think가 좋다. what am I saying, you know what과 같은 말로 침묵을 채우자

I guess people usually go to parks whenever they have free time. because you have the freedom to do various activities there.

And um, I think people love to have options at a park. many parks have trails so many people tend to ride bikes there. the air is quite fresh. That's the common things to do in Korea. And ocassionally, you can even see some peole busking. And it's like a playgound for adults.

in my country, which is Korea, our smartphones are very import to us. Everyone has a smartphone these days. It's pretty much a part of our lives. It's able to connect to the internet, and so, it's kind of like mini computer. it's just so versatile.

It's also extremly great because it also allows us to do simple things like set an alarm clock before we go to sleep. We are definitely denpendent on it. We need it. Therefore, this is why smartphones are technological deivces that we use quite often in our country.
